Westlake Hospital is located just off of Lake Street at 12th Avenue in Melrose Park. We can be reached via Lake Street or Chicago Avenue, and are easily accessible from the Tri-State Tollway (I-294) or the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290).


Driving Directions

  • From the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290):
    • Exit at 1st Avenue and go north on First Avenue approximately two miles
    • Turn left at Lake Street and head west
    • Westlake Hospital is on your right shortly after the stoplight at 9th Avenue and just past Walther Lutheran Church and School
    • Turn right into the hospital driveway

  • From the North:
    • Take I-294 South towards Indiana/O'Hare to Irving Park Rd. East
    • Travel East on Irving Park Road to Cumberland (First Avenue)
    • Turn right (south) on Cumberland to Lake St. and turn right
    • The hospital is approximately two miles west on Lake Street

  • From the South:
    • Take I-294 North towards Wisconsin I-290
    • Take I-290 West towards Rockford and take the Lake Street exit Eas
    • Proceed East on Lake Street to address

Public Transportation

The hospital is accessible by public transportation via the PACE buses 309 and 313 (Lake and 9 th Street stop), the Metra Union Pacific West Line (Melrose Park stop at 1801 W. Main Street with Pace bus 303 to 309 or 313). Also via the Chicago Transity Authority (CTA) Green Line (Lake Street El) Harlem/Lake Station with Pace Buses 309 or 313.
