About Westlake Hospital

Other Information

Visiting Hours

Visitors are welcome at Westlake Hospital. Due to our concern for our patients' security, rest and unhindered treatment, we ask visitors to:

  • Obtain a visitor's pass at the Information Desk, with a limit of two visitors at any one time.

  • Observe individual unit visiting hours.

  • Get permission to visit from the nurse on the floor if visitors are under 14 years of age.

  • Be considerate and respectful of other patients.

  • Avoid visiting if you have a cough, cold, fever, rash, open sores, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or exposure to any communicable diseases such as chicken pox, measles or mumps.

Important H1N1 Visitation Restrictions

Our highest priority is the health of our patients, staff and community. To help reduce the spread of flu, the following visitation restrictions are currently in place:

  • Visitors under 12 years old are not allowed to visit any unit
  • Obstetric visitors: Limited to Spouse or Significant Other
  • Pediatric visitors: Limited to Parents/Guardians
  • For special exceptions, contact the manager of these units in advance

If you have a fever or other flu symptoms such as a cough, sore throat, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea, please do not visit.
